Q&A

To ensure long-term durability, the TranspoNet pneumatic tube carriers are made of strong polycarbonate.
Bacteria often survive on surfaces for a long period of time; pneumatic tube carriers are no exception. We recommend cleaning the carriers regularly to avoid contamination. The carriers can either be hand-wiped inside and out with a suitable disinfectant or conveniently cleaned in an industrial dishwasher.

The service life of a pneumatic tube carrier depends, of course, to a large extent on the frequency of use and the number of kilometers traveled. As a general rule, check pneumatic tube carriers regularly and replace them if necessary. During this check, pay particular attention to functioning closure mechanisms and intact Velcro straps. Cracks in the transparent body and damaged sealing rings also indicate signs of wear.

The LeakResistant carrier is equipped with a special closing mechanism, including a seal, which reduces the leakage of spilled liquids. If transported liquids, for example blood, break during transport, the LeakResistant carrier provides additional leakage protection. This prevents contamination from entering the pneumatic tube system and its components.
